About Us
Mission Statement:
Christ requires that we nurture those in our Church Family to commitment and recommitment to Him, minister to the community and share the Good news.
A brief history:
We are one-third of one of the last surviving multi-church campus developments dating from the mid-1970s. and share the building with St. Francis of Assissi Anglican and Meadowvale Lutheran Churches. Each church has its own Worship and Sunday School space, with offices and General Secretary being shared by all three churches. The Meadowvale West Church Centre offices are open 9:00 am to Noon, Monday to Friday.
2007 marked our 30th Anniversary. White Oak Presbyterian Church is a member of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. Work to create this Congregation began in 1975 when Meadowvale was just being developed. In 1977 the Congregation was officially constituted and in 1998 we became completely self-supporting, receiving no further mission grants from the Presbyterian Church
We are a very eclectic group, with members from Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Malaysia, various parts of Europe and the Caribbean, plus a few home-grown Canadians. This all makes for a very interesting mix of ideas and attitudes, and when we eat together, the food is amazing!
