Outreach:
White Oak is involved in several outreach programs. The first two are projects of The Presbyterian Church in Canada. More information on any of these can be had by following the links below.

Armagh House:
A supportive second-stage housing and counselling program for mothers and children in crisis. Second stage is the next point in time when a women and children have left an abusive home situation and have lived for a few months in an emergency hostel. Armagh offers accomodation after the hostel and before the family is able and ready to move into their own apartment. Many legal, financial and social problems must be addressed and resolved to give the women and children the best possible chance to be successful. White Oak supports Armagh House, and as part of our outreach we provide food and gifts at Christmas for families at Armagh, as well as ongoing regular support throughout the year.

Evangel Hall:
For more than 90 years, Evangel Hall Mission, supported by The Presbyterian Church in Canada, has been reaching out to Toronto’s homeless and afflicted population. Many of these people find community at the Hall. They come here for food, for help to access services, for warm clothing and shelter out of the cold. We welcome everybody with a warm smile and kind heart. We strive to meet the material, emotional and spiritual needs of those who seek our help. Spend an hour or day at Evangel Hall Mission, and you will see the world through different eyes.

The DAM:
The Dam Youth Drop-in is so-named because we believe that the drop-in is a dam that stops the flow of teens from running away and becoming homeless street youth downtown. It is our goal to be the friends of youth and help them to stay at home, in school and in the community.

World Vision:
Certain values lie at the centre of World Vision's work. These "Core Values" are the fundamental principles that determine our commitment to each other and to the poor.
