YOU INTEREST US!
BIBLE STUDIES:
These occur at intervals throughout the year; current details in the side-bar.
If you would like one offered on a specific subject, please contact the Minister.
PRAYER CHAIN:
At White Oak we have a prayer chain where prayer requests are passed along by phone or e-mail. This is one of the ways that the power of prayer supports people and the work of our congregation - no meetings required! If you would like to participate, please contact prayerchain@whiteoakpresbyterian.ca
LADIES’ STUDY GROUP:
There is also an on-going ladies’ study group meeting on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month. If you would like more information on this, please contact doug@whiteoakpresbyterian.ca
WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP GROUP:
This group is open to all women and meets about six times a year at 7:30 pm on the 4th Tuesday of the month. Past events have included an Avon Fundraiser, a Christmas Dinner and Cookie Exchange, a Games Night and a Strawberry Social. Other regular events include a Spring Bake Sale and a Thanksgiving Pie Sale (2010: 84 fresh home-baked pies sold in 2 1/4 hours!)
MEN’S BREAKFAST GROUP:
Meets on the 2nd Saturday of the month (9:00 am at Bobby’s Restaurant, Streetsville). Mainly a social group but also a support group for World Vision through child sponsorship.
MEN’S DISCUSSION GROUP:
The Men's Discussion Group meets at the Church on the first Saturday of the month at 9 a.m. This is a pretty free-flowing event - subjects of discussion usually start out from a biblical text and range from there to wherever the Spirit takes us. A recent development is our joining with the Men’s Breakfast Group in the support of a child through World Vision (see the Outreach page). This is enabled by a freewill offering from the group’s participants.
YOUTH GROUP:
White Oak has recently revived its Youth Group, a program catering to the needs of young people. The main focus is on the many challenges facing our youth today. The group tries to meet twice a month; however, this is not always possible due to school commitments. Normal meetings are on Saturday at 6 pm in the church. All welcome!
For more information (specific meeting dates, times, events, etc.) please contact youth@whiteoakpresbyterian.ca
BIBLE STUDY:
Currently every 3rd Friday of the month. Please contact Kumar at commoditax@aol.com for details.
